Pet Sitters: Sign In

Woofy Baby's Approach to Pet Safety

Vetting and Onboarding New Sitters:

· Background Checks: Every potential sitter undergoes a thorough background check to ensure they have no history of animal abuse or relevant criminal activity.

· Limited Initial Bookings: New sitters without prior verified experience are initially limited to one client at a time to ensure they can manage the responsibility. This client may have multiple pets.

· Performance-Based Progression: Sitters can increase the number of pets they care for as they gain positive reviews, demonstrate reliability through frequent updates, and meet the needs of pets and their owners.

Optional Training for Sitters:

· Voluntary Training Program: Sitters interested in expanding their ability to care for more than one client's pets at a time can opt into a training program. Successful completion allows them to handle up to four pets simultaneously.

· Further Qualifications for Expanding Capacity: Sitters who wish to care for more than four pets must demonstrate they have adequate space, such as a large backyard or multiple cleared rooms, and must continue to maintain excellent service ratings.

Communication and Updates:

· Mandatory Updates: Sitters are required to provide regular updates to pet owners during the service period, ensuring owners are informed about their pets' status and activities.

Safety and Emergency Guidelines:

· Emergency Contact Information: Sitters must have easy access to the pet owner's emergency contact information and the local veterinary services.

· No Routine Health Checks: Sitters are not required to perform health checks as they are not medically qualified. Pet owners should ensure that all pets are healthy and fit for sitting services before booking.

Insurance and Liability:

· Owner and Sitter Insurance Recommendation: Woofy Baby recommends that both pet owners and sitters have their own pet insurance to cover any potential incidents. Woofy Baby does not provide pet insurance at this stage.

· Limited Liability: Woofy Baby is not liable for damages caused by pets during the booking and emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility and insurance coverage for all parties.

Sitter and Pet Matching:

· Tailored Matching Process: While Woofy Baby does not currently use AI for matching, the platform allows owners to review sitter profiles and choose based on past reviews and sitter

responses. This manual matching ensures that owners can select sitters they feel are best suited for their pet’s needs.
